A legal disclaimer

At Spencer Lucas Psychology, our workshops, seminars, and consultations are designed to make psychological concepts practical, relatable, and useful in everyday life. They are educational experiences meant to increase awareness, build skills, and spark meaningful change.

That said, these sessions are not therapy.

They do not involve individualized assessment, diagnosis, or treatment, and they do not constitute the practice of psychology as defined under the Psychologists Act, 2014 (New Brunswick). Participating in a workshop, presentation, or consultation does not create a psychologist–client or therapist–client relationship.

The information shared is general in nature and intended for learning purposes. While many people find these sessions helpful and empowering, they are not a substitute for working one-on-one with a licensed psychologist or other regulated health professional who can provide personalized care in a confidential therapeutic relationship.

If you are experiencing significant emotional distress or ongoing mental health concerns, we strongly encourage you to seek individualized support from a qualified professional in your area. If you are in crisis or experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department.

By attending or participating, you acknowledge that you are responsible for how you choose to use the information provided.
